CUBO COLLECTION

Lojel announces Cubo: maximum capacity with a minimalist footprint

January 2017 –Lojel’s latest response to customers seeking a roomy interior accessible in tight spaces.

The newest in Lojel’s Flex category, the Cubo Collection uses a fresh, robust shape to attract the eye of the inquisitive explorer — but that’s only the first thing customers will notice. Lojel wants travelers to have what feels like an amazingly light and spacious drawer, which then locks securely to roll alongside.

The Cubo Collection departs from traditional manufacturing models that hinge cases in two equal halves, thereby demanding a larger footprint to open. Cubo instead uses a flat top door across the full span of the case, providing single access to its full volume — especially useful in tight places. And Cubo’s designers explain the additional benefit of the top opening case: added packing capacity. Because you don’t lose space to center dividers, every dimension gives its utmost – a nice bonus for those packing items of varying shape and bulk.

Lojel makes it well known that they will continue to seek freedom from constraints, and to improve on their customers’ access to packing wherever they may be…whether it’s a train, plane, bus, or boutique hotel room. The expansion system adds to this convenience – it’s a flexible fabric opening that expands by two inches for extra volume. Webbing straps keep Cubo open without propping — a simple way to free any floor from storing and open it up to living.

For those focused on the technical details, this collection saves on weight, as well as wear and tear: Cubo’s Advance PC shell sports an anti-scratch coating that has already impressed the most frequent of travelers. Secured with Lojel’s double coil zipper and TSA lock, Cubo manages to be highly protective while maintaining a breezy convenience that’s perfect for the ever-youthful traveler.

NOVIGO COLLECTION

Lojel unveils Novigo, the elegant hard case with unique security features.

January 2017 – According to Lojel, high security and good looks can come together.

And certainly the Novigo Collection shows well: a durable, muscled case with a strong backbone, situated on the high end of Lojel’s Flex category.

That Novigo backbone is only the first thing to make this collection truly stand out, but it’s an important advance. With Lojel’s patented one-piece trolley, both trolley and its handle have been engineered from the same piece of material – because they are one, they will always move as one. In Quality Control testing (see some of Lojel’s videos on the website), this construction held up under a variety of extreme conditions – dropped from a height, jumped on and proved itself virtually indestructible.

So that’s the backbone of Novigo’s stand-out qualities, but there’s also the aluminum frame, the first-ever Lojel braking system, and not one but two TSA compatible locks. When asked, Novigo designers will tick them off for you:

• The aluminum frame further reinforces the one-piece trolley construction, adding rigidity to the casing which is lightweight Advance PC, Lojel’s lightest polycarbonate yet.
• The braking system, exclusive to the Novigo Collection, is an added help to the go-anywhere traveler, providing stability on moving transport (ships, trains) and sloping ground.
• Two TSA compatible locks allow the Novigo owner to set a different combination for each, exponentially increasing personal security.

Lojel designed the Novigo Collection specifically for the security minded frequent traveler, the owner who seeks high-impact features. But the Novigo Collection’s luxe look also hints at a softer side, since each case carries its own accessories too: a toiletry bag and shoe bag, plus an extra case cover. Clearly that’s the new, Novigo version of “all in one”: sexy strength with reassuringly practical accessories.

GROOVE 2 COLLECTION

Groove 2 has arrived!

December 2016¬—Still funky, still fashionable, Groove 2 now features extras that fans will appreciate.

The original Groove quickly gained a following for its fresh, youthful approach to Lojel’s Casual travel category. Groove 2 now builds on that momentum, with dual wheels, a new thin frame, coordinating accent pieces, and interlocking combination security.

Lojel clearly values continuous improvement, and this shows in their latest update of a best seller. When the Groove’s fresh pastels hit the scene, Lojel’s travelers snapped them up. Cleverly priced and designed for casual travel, the Groove remains as vibrant as ever. Only now, the style comes with advanced function:

• Dual wheels replace the single, adding miles upon miles (and kilometer after kilometer!) in durability.
• Thin frame construction gives concealed, streamlined strength in lightweight Advance PC housing.
• Handle, wheels, and lock now come in the same color chosen for the case—making Groove 2 more personalized and easy to notice.
• Interlocking combination security replaces the key system. Having two combinations that work together exponentially increases security of the case—and owners don’t need a key.

This is how Lojel proves that you can appreciate a good thing while still expanding its horizons.

OCTA 2 COLLECTION

Lojel’s Octa 2 Collection continues in the sleek, energetic vein of Octa

December 2016 –Lojel releases its newest case inspired by extreme climates –this time with a few extra comforts.

Athletic and sleek have been the watchwords for Octa and it’s no different this time around with Octa 2. Also a member of Lojel’s Casual category, Octa 2 has Lojel’s Advance PP shell, made from a proprietary polypropylene blend, which defies scuff marks and impact even at low temperatures. The four-point lock clasp closure and TSA lock that many Lojel customers depend on also carries over in Octa 2.

Which brings us to Opta 2’s specific advances: the interior is now fully lined for a warmer, more inviting feel, and comes complete with pockets for easy organization. Previously single wheels are now dual – this extends the life of your roll. And since Octa 2 brings its own vibrant color palette, this bold case continues to make a statement.

Lojel adventurers will agree: one of the main selling points of Octa 2 (as with Octa) is its ability to protect your packing in whatever climate. Octa 2, with its useful additions, will be a welcome answer for those travelers who continue to explore extreme climates. The Advance PP shell makes it well suited to protect against sand or snow, the interior feels a little more like home, and the dual wheels are designed to give intrepid travelers more range. This newest iteration’s subtle tweaks exemplify Lojel’s constant focus on the details that improve life in motion.

TAGO BAGS COLLECTION

Lojel announces Tago backpacks for the day traveler

October 2016 – Lojel launches Tago, the everyday travel bag designed for modern exploration. With Tago, Lojel aims to give its customers everything they want in a casual day bag: a soft feel that works hard while looking good.

Lojel’s Tago collection is the newest casual style addition for the modern traveler. Made with Lojel’s signature Polamo 9D fabric, a high grade polyester with unique brushed texture, these bags remain soft and easy to wear while standing up to tough daily use.

A versatile day bag needs to fit easily in a case but hold its structure while out and about. Lojel’s answer is in the streamlined seams – they pack flat in a case but come out to provide structure and body. Available in City and Travel sizes, Tago can fit either a 13” or 15” laptop (via padded sleeve); has a bright interior for better visibility; and sports a series of handily designed pockets for carrying the essentials. Water repellent exterior rounds out the package.

Stand-out convenience features include: secret side pocket accessible while wearing the bag; detachable hanging pouch for ID or transit cards; large zippered front pocket with key hook; trolley handle sleeve for easy transition to flying; and tote handles for quick pick-up.

URBO BAGS COLLECTION

Lojel debuts the Urbo Collection, a suave take on soft bags.

October 2016 – The Urbo Collection makes bold entrance into the ‘dailyware’ of soft bags and accessories…starting with the Urbo Vachetta and Urbo Classic lines.

Lojel has always prioritized style alongside function — and Urbo bags highlight the harmony between the two. The newest example of Lojel’s unique approach and premium materials, the Urbo Collection debuts with two lines: Urbo Vachetta and Urbo Classic.

These are a welcome addition to Lojel’s Flex category – soft feeling, hard wearing bags that bring fun to a sophisticated world.

Urbo Vachetta

…begins with cotton canvas and waterproof coating, making it dirt defiant and highly resistant to water. Vachetta — vegetable tanned leather – frames the canvas with its natural color and supple quality, accenting your bag where you tend to touch it most. Every interaction with the environment (oil from your hands, sunlight) adds patina to the leather. These bags are built to wear well while reflecting the depth of daily life. Inside, felting gives cushion and protection; each structure is engineered to accommodate all types of devices, whether analog or digital. Customers can choose from these essential styles:

• Messenger:
rides on the back or hip and easily slings to the front for access while wearing. This style is favored by avid cyclists and busy urbanites who need to take their work or play with them.
• Tote:
supports the everyday commute or the leisurely stroll, with deep interior and comfortable shoulder strapping.
• Duffel:
transports all manner of gear, from overnight supplies to technical equipment.
• Backpack:
lifts your substantial daily items. Hard-wearing with a streamlined silhouette.

Urbo Classic

…combines durable nylon with canvas, trimmed in full-grain cowhide leather. The Urbo Classic’s clean lines are designed to appeal to the practical adventurer, who maintains a healthy balance between business and leisure. Customers choose between two classic styles:

• Briefcase
protects and transports your electronics and your documents
• Backpack
streamlines your gear, with many subtle pockets for quick access.

Vita Collection

Lojel launches tough, light, modern Vita Collection —
a trunk-style case for today’s traveler.

November 2015 – Lojel introduces the uniquely designed Vita Collection for travelers who take their lives along with them.

Most people, perhaps in response to airline downsizing, feel pressure to pack smaller and smaller — not so for Vita Collection adventurers. Classic trunk-like packing capacity gains the modern technological advantages of being exceedingly tough, light, and virtually unscuffable.

Details unique to Lojel set the Vita collection apart. The case opens 80/20. (This is a marked distinction when most luggage manufacturing processes dictate a 50/50 clamshell split.) By keeping 90 percent of the case’s volume together, the Vita gives travelers the ability to pack large and carry gear of all shapes.

Free-form packing is held in place by adjustable interior strapping. The design has been specifically adapted to its shell, where the vertical level of strapping can be adjusted just as easily as the tightness. Belongings are held neatly in place for your arrival.

A unique exterior protects and carries without adding weight. Lojel uses its proprietary Advance PP polypropylene blend for extreme lightness without the scuffing of standard polypropylene formulas. Double coil zipper and TSA lock, also unique to Lojel, round out the outside features, resulting in a completely protected volume that is effortlessly accessible edge to edge.

The Vita joins Lojel’s Casual travel category, supporting adventure with ease.

Kozmos Collection - Black & Gold

Kozmos unveils new looks to dazzle the eye

November 2015 — Lojel’s lightweight celestially inspired Kozmos Collection now features two new colors: metallic gold and black — just as luxurious and eye catching as the original metallic silver.

The new colors carry on the high quality name of the Kozmos Collection, inspired by space travel. Both gold and black evoke potent meanings in our culture: gold for illumination, passion, wisdom, and grandeur; black for power elegance, and the mystery of the unknown. Lojel designers created each color to further celebrate exploration and the spirit of tomorrow’s traveler — always at the edge of what we know.

Kozmos has the unique advantage of extreme lightness combined with superior security. Most luggage cannot support a hard frame without taking on extra weight. Lojel solved the issue by encasing a magnesium alloy frame with Advance PC (composed of over 95% high-grade polycarbonate) for an unsurpassed strength-to-weight ratio.

Now with three sublimely stunning colors, Kozmos continues to mean light, strong, and nearly out of this world.

Hatch Collection

Lojel’s Hatch Collection signals smart departure from tradition.

November 2015 – Lojel continues to shape hard luggage to modern boutique living with the Hatch Collection.
Lojel’s simple solution aims to free travelers from the constraints of the traditional. Most manufacturing set-ups dictate that hard suitcases open into two equal halves, thereby doubling the space you need to access your packing. By using a flat top door, the Hatch provides single access to the full volume of the case — especially useful in tight places.

The Hatch Collection’s versatile approach to boutique living continues with a flexible fabric opening that expands by two inches whenever you need extra volume. Webbing straps keep the case open without propping — a simple way to free your floorspace for living, not packing.
Many of our travelers have expressed a desire for large packing volume. A design that opens into one full carrying space meets this need — allowing more variety in packing while also minimizing the footprint needed for your luggage.

The Hatch Collection belongs to Lojel’s Flex travel category, mastering seamless transitions between leisure and business. It shows in simple and versatile colors to complement almost any occasion, and is cleverly secured with Lojel’s double coil zipper and TSA lock.

Nimbus Collection

North American Debut of Nimbus All Weather™ -
the World’s First Rain-Ready Suitcase

Revealed at the 2014 Travel Goods Show, the Nimbus Luggage Collection from Lojel showcases weatherproofing technology that ensures that travelers have a dry set of clothes to put on at the end of a journey

March 11, 2014 - Lojel today announced Nimbus, the world’s first rain-ready suitcase featuring new weatherproofing technology specifically designed for stress-free travel in the rain or snow. Realized in a stylishly minimal form, the Nimbus Collection sets new standards in luggage performance.

Despite the fact that being caught in the rain is a common travel woe, Lojel recognized that rain-resistance has never been seen as a functional requirement of luggage. By identifying this overlooked functional need as an opportunity, Lojel subsequently engineered every aspect of Nimbus to anticipate the challenges of walking in the rain.

Every Nimbus suitcase is built around a pair of rigid, Advance PC™ polycarbonate shells that not only provide best-in-class impact-resistance, but also serve as a smooth, waterproof skin. Building on this foundation, Lojel invented a remarkable TPU rubber zipper system that fuses the rigid shells in a way that resists water penetration unlike standard fabric zippers. Other components such as the trolley, handles and wheels were then comprehensively re-engineered to eliminate small gaps where rain drops would normally penetrate. The side bumpers meanwhile, were ingeniously eliminated and integrated into the shell body, reducing weight,
complexity and potential for water leaks.

Months of rigorous testing both in a laboratory and on the road led to a truly refined design that has been certified with the international standard IPX3 rating for water-resistance. The result of these efforts is absolute peace-of-mind for travelers who can journey for up to 8 hours continuously in the rain without risk of water penetration.

Following the brand’s mission to fuse the best of technology with fashion, Lojel’s designers have given this technical innovation a strikingly minimal form with astute use of color. All Nimbus suitcases feature Black shells with a smooth, mirror-finish and are available in either all-Black or with bright Orange accents.

This remarkable innovation upholds all of Lojel’s rigorous quality standards while maintaining the brand’s commitment to lightweight technologies and superior weight/volume ratios, ensuring that travelers ultimately check-in as little suitcase weight as possible.
Nimbus is the first collection to be released under the Lojel All Weather™ Series, a broader platform for producing weatherproof travel products that liberate travelers to explore no matter what the weather brings.
